I studied biotechnology. I practice art. The two are not as separate as they sound.
Growing up in Bangalore, I was the student who filled margins with doodles — characters, faces, shapes flowing from pencil to paper without much thought. It was instinct. Even through my biotechnology degree, art remained the constant I returned to between lectures and lab work.
Today I work in healthcare marketing strategy. I also paint, draw, and create — not as a hobby, but as a parallel practice. Graphite and charcoal. Oil and acrylic. Watercolor and soft pastel. Mixed media. I am currently exploring sculpture and modelling. Each medium teaches something the others cannot, and I let the idea dictate the material.
Realism is where I begin — portraits, birds, animals, the natural world. But I make room for exploration too. Growth lives outside the comfort zone, and I try to visit often.
My work has been exhibited at national-level exhibitions. I have completed commissioned pieces for clients across the globe, handling everything from concept and creation to careful packaging and international delivery. Every original is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
I believe discipline and creativity are not opposites. They are partners. One shows up on schedule. The other surprises you. Together, they make the work possible.
